When the central or mid cheek begins to descend, hollowing beneath the lower eyelid occurs at the nasolabial fold (from the base of the nose) and becomes accentuated. Midface lifts lift the central cheek areas, restoring the natural shape and convexity. Several different techniques and approaches are used – depending on the patient’s anatomy. Sometimes a scope is used from the temple hair, other times a lower eyelid approach is used, and these can be combined with a small incision from inside the mouth. Both techniques leave little to no visable scarring and allows for a procedure that restores volume into a more youthful and natural contour.*
